Drypoint: Short Half-Day Course
Drypoint is a wonderfully direct method of printmaking where the image is drawn directly into the surface of the plate. It is referred to as ‘dry’ because no acids are used. Small editions can be printed using a printing press. This simple process is perfect for anyone who enjoys drawing and would like to extend their practice into printmaking. This short course will show you how to transfer an image onto a special drypoint card plate and draw using a variety of tools before inking up and printing on a press.
