This series of six half-day classes focuses on different processes within the family of printmaking referred to as ‘planographic’. Introducing and exploring screenprinting, lithography and transfer printing this course offers beginners and experienced printmakers the opportunity to try out a range of processes.

What you'll learn

Suitable for artists, illustrators, designers and anyone with an interest in printmaking, the course will allow for a range of creative expressions. This will include how to get started with your ideas and how to choose and develop your imagery.

The processes and techniques covered will allow you to develop hand-drawn and photographic images with the opportunity to explore colour and mark-making. You will have access to a selection of original artists work in our gallery and archive to inspire you.

The aim is to provide a supportive, creative and playful environment to explore and enjoy printmaking. Taking place in our studio using professional facilities and materials. Taught by Northern Print’s staff team this is the perfect introduction to anyone wishing to join the studio and continue to make original prints.

One of the unique features of this course is that we offer ‘stay and play’ after each session giving you space and time to experiment, develop your ideas and hone your skills.
